I didn't know the importance of God and that it should impact my life until
my family moved to Kurrajong.
We lived the first half of my life mostly at Quakers Hill where I went to school
and scripture every week.
Looking back now I don't really remember much about what was taught and it
didn't change my life. In scripture the seeds were sown so that I knew who God
was, but didn't understand what he had done for me.
It was only when we moved here that I made Christian friends at Colo who started
inviting me to different events and eventually to church. Only by the teaching
I received about God and Jesus did I start to realise that I couldn't do it
by myself.
I don't know exactly when I became a Christian, but I know I am saved. I thank
God that I am completely certain I am going to heaven when I die to be with
Him.
The most important piece of advice I have been given while I have been a Christian
is that we should go to church to fellowship with one another, even when we
are discouraged, because we never know but it might encourage somebody else
who is in need.
My favourite verse from the Bible is Proverbs, Chapter 9, verse 10, "The
fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge of the Holy One is
understanding."
I thank God that even if I study the Bible my whole life, there is always something
to learn every day.
