What do you like to read ?

Weekend newspaper, Narnia stories by CS Lewis— great stories for kids (and adults) with wonderful Christian allegory. "To Kill A Mockingbird" by Harper Lee - read it first in school. Great characters like Atticus Finch and a story about social justice seen through his children's eyes.

and are reading now ?

"The Hobbit " (with my daughter Sarah)
"Reaching for the Invisible God" - Philip Yancey
"A Violent Grace " - Michael Card

Your first paying job was?

Casual - lawn mowing/ gardening (paid my way through Uni doing these jobs).
Full time - worked in a veterinary testing laboratory.

Who would you like to sit next to on a long journey?

Michael Palin - he would have great travel stories to share and I like his sense of humour.

Do you have a favourite web site / Radio station / TV Programme?

Web - Bureau of Meteorology (I know it's boring); Sydney Morning Herald
TV - Travel shows and historical documentaries.
When we lived in the US it was the Weather Channel (really, I'm not joking!)

If you could have your choice of occupation, what would you be?

Cartographer -- 1 love maps, just ask Sandy.

Could you tell us about your most embarrassing moment?

Maybe not the most embarrassing, just one of them. Running through Nairobi National Wildlife Park at night with a friend and having a rifle pointed at us because the park ranger thought we were thieving Masai tribesmen. That's a very short version of the story, but shows that very foolish behaviour doesn't always have a tragic ending.

Who on earth inspires you?

Fathers, grandfathers and men who model a Godly lifestyle and honour Christ in the way they faithfully lead their family and serve others.

If you could do something in heaven that you do on earth, what would it be?

Enjoy God's natural world, but I'm sure heaven will be make anything here on Earth seem pale by comparison.
