Something people don't know about you is …?

- Up to about 1976 everyone except my own family called me by my first name, Margaret.

- Being caned in primary school for being late (mind you I had a habit of dawdling to school, so many things to see such as ants, butterflies, flowers and a big persimmon tree).

- I have never played any competitive sport but enjoy watching cricket, tennis and golf on the TV.

What are you currently reading?

My bible and a garden magazine (I'm not much of a reader).

Your first paying job was …?

Working in my father's business, moving houses and buying and reselling building materials, now known as Kings Hardware at Ebenezer (a good place to go for all your building needs and hardware).

Your favourite TV show is …? Why?

Better Homes and Gardens and RPA because it shows the realities of life.

If you could be anything (occupation) what would you be?

A garden designer and landscaper.

An embarrassing thing that has happened to you is …?

One night many years ago we were caught unprepared. Maurie and I had been working in the garden all afternoon. We were very grotty and tired and had just eaten a quick meal of sausage stew on toast when Frank & Margaret Beazley arrived for dinner. All a result of bad communication!

Who inspires you?

The reformers for their courage and dedication to the truth. Corrie Ten Boom for the way she forgave her persecutors. Jann Russell for perservering through great difficulties for 25 years in Togo. My mother and other senior members of our church family for their faithfulness and commitment throughout their lives (Hebrews 10:23-25)

If you could do one thing in heaven that you do on earth, what would it be?

Gardening and enjoying family get togethers.
