Something people don’t know about you is...?

I used to be a Science/Physical Education High School Teacher, in various Catholic schools. I am a very keen freshwater fisherman; I fish for trout in the Snowy River and the Cox River Valley.

What do you like to read . . .and are reading now?

True adventures or expeditions. I’m reading a novel called ‘Leaving Papua’.
It’s about a Papuan/New Guinean soldier.

Who would you like to sit next to on a long journey?

Jesus— I would learn a lot from him. Otherwise, Andrew K.— based on Trivial Pursuit Night, he knows a lot too!

Your first paying job was?

I worked on the staff of a ski lodge in Cooma—general help & entertainment for kids programmes.

Yes, ebay, ABC 702 and ‘Landline’

If you could have your choice of occupation, what would you be?

What I am already. Fire fighter with NSW Fire Brigades.

Could you tell us about your most embarrassing moment?

Many! Probably too private! But one I can tell— I was the organiser of a camping trip for four guys and forgot to take a tent. We slept half in a cave and half in the rain.

Who on earth inspires you?

People who give up everything to serve other people.

If you could do something in heaven that you do on earth, what would it be?

Hug my wife and kids.
