What people don’t know about me

It’s hard to know what people don’t know about me because I think my life is like an open book.

What I’m reading

Besides the Bible, I like reading biographies/autobiographies of Christians/
missionaries, but on a more regular basis books on gardening and cake decorating
absorb my time. I also enjoy ‘find-a-word’ and jigsaw puzzles.

Who I’d like to sit next to on a long journey, and why

My husband, Bruce because we enjoy long silences and good conversation which
would make a long journey comfortable

My first paying job was

With the Commercial Banking Co. of Sydney Ltd (CBC)
at a city branch. It was just a block away from CMS, Bible Society and the old
C.E.F.D.O.S. which gave me lots of opportunities for book shop browsing and
mixing with other Christians from all over Sydney.

My favourite radio station

My radio dial never moves off 2CBA FM, because I enjoy the Christian
music along with devotions and interviews.

My most embarrassing moment

I don’t know who was more embarrassed, Bruce or myself, when I bowled up to a
lady who I thought I recognised, while we were spending the day in Manly. We
were busy discussing health, family, weather when at last she politely informed
me that she had only just arrived from Britain and was here on holiday; but was
very pleased to have such a friendly welcome!

My second occupation choice would be

Nursing. As a teen, when I first heard
about Bush Church Aid, I dreamt about working at Cook Hospital, on the Trans
Continental Railway

Who inspires me

Billy Graham.

What I do on earth that I’d like to do in Heaven.

Pick flowers to give away to everyone.
